An old fireback in the Museo de Palencia
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study of a fireback dated in 1597, with allegorical representations, that is kept in the Museo of Palencia serves as an introduction to a brief analysis of the possible place of manufacture. The reduced presence of this type of object from the 16th-18th centuries in Spanish collections and its possible causes are then considered.
