• The journal will publish articles in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese or Italian.
• The articles will be sent through the platform, filling in all the fields of the submission form.
• Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original and unpublished and must not be under evaluation or consideration by any other journal or publication at the time of their submission or for the following three months.
• Works by the same author will not be published until at least 2 years have passed since their last publication in addition to.
• Manuscripts must be preceded by the title of the article in Spanish and English, the name(s) of the author or authors, their postal address, telephone number and email address, and also their academic or professional position. The date of submission to the journal shall also be stated and a brief abstract of the article included, with a maximum length of ten lines, in Spanish and in English, followed by the appropriate keywords and the title also in English.
• Original contributions must not exceed 7,500 words in length, including footnotes and bibliography. They are to be submitted in Times New Roman font, using 12-point type for the text and 10 for the notes.
• Up to fifteen images may be included per article (photographs, tables or graphics) and must be submitted as separate files (not inserted in the text). Photographs must have a resolution of 300 dpi and must be free of rights; authors are responsible for managing any reproduction rights that may apply to the illustrations. Tables must be in .doc or .xls format. All images are to be numbered and appropriately labelled. A list must be provided containing the captions for each photo (author, title, object, date, institution/location where it is preserved).
• Notes must be numbered consecutively, in superscript arabic numerals, and inserted at the foot of the page.
• Quoted text should be in inverted commas (quotation marks).
• Individual words and phrases in another language should appear in italics, including abbreviations in Latin.
• The bibliography used must be included at the end of each article.
• Bibliographical references are to be cited according to the following examples:

Texts that do not meet these criteria will be returned to their authors so that they can bring them into line with the journal's rules.
• References to archive documents should be done as follows (slight variations are permitted in specific cases): Document title, date. Archive in which it is preserved, box or protocol, page or folio numbers.
• The use of hyperlinks should be limited to well-established websites and resources, and the most recent access date should be indicated.
• Articles submitted will be examined by the Editorial Committee to determine that they fit the journal’s contents and objectives. Once they have been accepted, they will be submitted for assessment, by the double blind peer review system, to outside experts, who will issue a report certifying their quality. Following this assessment, the Editorial Committee will decide whether or not to publish them.
• The journal's secretariat will acknowledge receipt of papers on receipt.
• Authors will be notified of the editorial board's decision within six months of receipt.
• Authors will be provided with proofs for them to correct and must undertake to return them corrected within a period not exceeding fifteen days. Changes will be limited essentially to typographical errors or grammatical changes. No alterations that significantly modify the typesetting will be accepted.
• The journal will publish reviews of books that are donated to it and are selected by the Editorial Committee.
